Candle Meditation


Before starting your light meditations make yourself intimate with the shine of light by mere looking at the flame of a candle.

1. Sit comfortable and put one palm above the other like it is usually done in meditation. Hold a burning candle in the upper hand. Have a steady look at the flame of the candle.

2. Feel the light of the candle as substantial as air and imagine while breathing in how the light is inhaled. A stream of light flows into your chest (sanskr. = anahata chakra) or into your forehead (sanskr. = ajna chakra). You may also use another forehead chakra.

3. Close your eyes and meditate as described in 2. but now by mere imagination.
